Candy is a pretty, well broke sorrel and white mare that anyone can ride. She has been used on a ranch to check on cattle and ride the fenceline. She rides with a loose one hand neck rein, a smooth walk, trot, and canter with a good backup (bends at the pole), and a great stop.
She will let you open/close gates off of her, she has no problem carrying a flag, and she is used to heavy equipment and its sounds (we have a construction company next door).... (read more) She has no problem walking in water, down streams, up/across/down deep ditches/ravines, over fallen trees, through thick brush, and in the woods with no spook. She has gone everywhere we have pointed her.
Candy has great ground manners, she will stand tied, stand still for bathing, grooming, saddling/tacking up, fly spray, and picking her feet, for mounting (from the ground or a block), the vet/farrier (she just got her feet trimmed 11/21/23). She is easy to catch, loads and hauls great. She is kid and dog friendly, not "mare-ish" and gets along very well with all of our other horses (mares and geldings alike). She rides the same way every time, whether you ride her every day or once a year, she is the same way every time.
Candy would be a good prospect for such things as; ranch sorting, team penning, trail riding, trail horse competitions, walk/trot, lead line, play days, goat tying, drill team, little britches, pony club, barrels, poles, parades, grand entry, 4-H/FFA, English, or as a lesson horse. She has the temperament and disposition to fit the novice/beginner, child, and first-time horse owner.
Candy is a beautiful paint mare with great conformations, a cute head, a beautiful mane, forelock, and tail. She also has an attractive face, a kind eye, a good neck and shoulder, nice withers, a straight back, a nice chest, and hip. She is a very nice mare and will fit all rider's needs, she will be a nice asset to anyone who wants a mare they can trust. She is sweet and has a willing attitude. She is sound, sane, and safe with no stable vices, she is ready to go in any direction you want. Please no outside trades, deposits, or payment plans. First come, first serve. No Outside Trades.
This horse is the sole property of Doug Gittins and comes with; a 30 day guarantee in writing (as a signed contract), a current negative Coggins, and we give every horse a strep (strangles) and a flu/rhino 4-1 vaccine.
