Ray is a 10-11 year old grade palomino mare. I’ll have to tape her, but approximately 16hh. She’s a big girl, but not at all “clunky,” fine-boned, gorgeous, sweet and willing personality. She has more whoa than go, but her laid back attitude can fool- she has a huge stride and lovely movement.
I do not know her history except for the past year + (we’ve had her since August 2022). Supposedly she has some dressage training in her background and the woman we got her from said she didn’t work out as a barrel prospect for her.... (read more)
Offering her for sale (not on sale) to a great home because she isn’t getting used much. My dad rode her a lot trail riding with us (he’s 72), but my mom has decided her riding days are over so he’s switched to her TWH since he’s a little shorter and easier to get on and off of.
She would make someone a fabulous horse. Not a raw beginner horse. But a husband horse with a spouse who knows horses would be a good fit, or an advanced beginner with support from a trainer, or any level above. My 10 year old has ridden her on trails and around our farm. I’ve had guests on her. She’s really just a good girl. Come try her out and make sure you are a good match.
No vices. Paws a little when tied sometimes, but nothing too bad. Loads, loves attention, easy to catch, gets along with other horses, ponies other horses no problem, pony her off another horse no problem.
I thought about raising a mule out of her, but decided that I just have too many irons in the fire right now.
I’ve ridden her English and western tack. Plain snaffle.
Happy to answer questions if you’re seriously interested.
Put shoes on her today after being turned out the past few months. Price will increase as I spend more time on her over the next few months.
