Ripley is a 6-year-old Percheron/QH cross with all the body and the mind you could want! This big boy is a gentle giant, a true workhorse, and a kind partner both in and out of the arena. Standing at 16.1 and 1400 pounds, Ripley makes a presence with his stature and big movement. Despite his size, he is light on his feet and easy to maneuver with balanced gaits: a consistent walk, slow seated trot, ground covering extended trot, and a comfy, rocking canter.... (read more) You can ride Ripley English or Western and will go just as easy with constant pressure or a loose rein. Work him in the cow pen or trail ride him, he will go easy anywhere in the group and will ride off by himself confidently. You can rope off Ripley, carry a flag, and drag just about anything you need to with his size and power. He is so gentle on the ground that we allow young lesson students to groom, tack, tie, load, and bathe him. Everything about working with Ripley is seamless. He has been shown in trail and ranch versatility, and there is not a single event that we go to that he doesn't get a slew of inquiries. Very curious personality and absolutely wants to be with people. He is a joy to have at the ranch and in our program. 100 % sound, no vices, and comes with recent X-rays. He is a true gentleman inside and out!
