Ranger 5 year old 15.3 hand buckskin and white paint gelding. This gelding is absolutely stunning. A great brain, a nice head, kind eyes and excellent confirmation. Ranger is big bodied and built like one should be. Good bone, big feet and a big hip. I have everything to register him APHA, all you have to do is send it in.
I purchased Ranger from the gentleman that trained him. He bought him as a yearling and taught him everything he knows.... (read more) He spends a ton of time with his horses and trains them the correct way. Ranger is as safe and quiet as you can possibly find one or want one to be. At just 5 years old you can safely put anyone on his back and not have a worry in the world. Rides English, rides western, rides bareback, rides double and triple. Has slow, smooth, collected gaits and will lope right off from a stand still on the correct lead. Nice soft mouth and always ridden in a snaffle bit. Ranger rides around the arena wonderfully and also trail rides. He’ll ride out alone or with others. Completely road and traffic safe. He will pony other horses and will happily lead or follow. This gelding has been on moonlight rides too.
When we brought Ranger here we threw him in English tack and he rode around the exact same way like he had been riding English since he was trained. We also asked him to go over cross rails which he did with zero hesitation. He is willing to jump and could definitely jump bigger if that’s the direction you want to go in. Happily jumps a course of fences and has an automatic lead change both directions. This is an extremely versatile gelding that can just go do anything. He always has his ears forward and is super willing. He’ll ride great for an experienced rider and he’ll ride great for a rider with little to no experience. He’s patient and kind.
He is flashy enough and well trained enough to be shown and go win. He’d also go right to work in any lesson and or therapy program. I know any therapy program would love him because he’s a great size to carry any size rider, is sweet as can be, super safe and he is also broke to drive! He has been driven many miles single and is safe and quiet for anyone to harness, hook and drive. He’ll stand hitched to the cart with no one holding the lines and no one in the cart while other horses go past him.
Ranger is also trick trained. He has been trained to stand on a pedestal, has had bull whips cracked on and around him, lays down and bows. Anytime I get the opportunity to purchase a horse from the gentleman that owned and trained this horse I do without thinking twice. Every horse I’ve ever bought from him have been some of the best horses I’ve ever owned.
All I know is there’s not a thing bad to say about this Gelding. He may just be the perfect horse. Well trained, beautiful, young, 110% sound and has no vices what so ever. Trailers, clips, bathes, ties, stands at the mounting block like a statue and will not walk off until asked. Ranger has a very sweet in your pocket personality and will be the first to greet you. He’ll take all the attention you want to give and has some of the best ground manners you can ask for. Requires zero maintenance or supplements. Up to date on everything. Lives inside or out and gets along with all other horses. He currently lives on grass pasture and western alfalfa hay. I’m in no hurry to sell him and want Ranger to find the best home. If he doesn’t sell I honestly won’t be sad because I’ll happily just keep him as I know horses like him are far and few.
Here’s a horse with a known history, that hasn’t been passed around and is safe for anyone ages 2 to 92. If you’re in the market for a stand out gelding don’t pass Ranger by.
