Here is a mare I really need to photograph again because I can't seem to capture how nice she really is in person!! Her size, her build, WOWZA!! Not to mention her pedigree and the added bonus of being ROAN & DUN!! She is tested Aa for agouti so she CAN produce grulla, true blue roan, grulla roan and black!!! She is also 5 panel N/N!
Her sire, Julias Peppy has sired several top flight Reiners .... (read more) He sired an NRHA Open Futurity Finalist and a European Junior Reserve Champion Reining Horse in 2005 and 2006. He also sired a 2005 Reserve Champion Reiner in Germany. He has sired several elite rope horses one with earnings of in excess of $100,000.
Julias Peppy is sired by the King Ranches NCHA Open Futurity Champion, Peppy San Badger. Peppy San Badger is one of the All Time Great Sires with NCHA earners of in excess of $25 Million. Most of his earners would be 20 years ago or more or his sire totals would be much higher if he was in today’s economy. He is one of the most consistent sires in history and his sons and daughters have had a tremendous impact on the breed. The paternal dam is a daughter of the industry changing sire, Doc Bar. Doc Bar is one of the most important sires of all time. He forever changed the cutting industry and it’s hard to imagine where
Cutting would be without Doc Bar. There were several great Doc Bar sons my favorite is NCHA Open Futurity Champion, Doc Olena. Doc OLena in turn sired , NCHA Triple Crown Champion , Smart Little Lena. It’s amazing to look at how many great cutters go back to Smart Little Lena.
On the maternal pedigree this beautiful mare is out of an own daughter of AQHA Champion, Mr Sun Olena!!! Mr Sun Olena was a beautiful horse that sired many top flight performance horses . He is the only horse sired by Doc Olena to be an AQHA Champion. Mr Sun Olena was owned by Frank Perkins who has been a top breeder for 70 years or more. Mr Sun Olena has sired cutters, cowhorses, and roping horses to name just a few disciplines his get have excelled in. PRCA World Champion, Shad Mayfield, has ridden a son of Mr Sun Olena the past few years . His horse is called Rampage and has been one of the top 2 or 3 calf horses in the PRCA for several years. This nice mare also goes back to the Waggoner Ranch Sire , Poco Bueno. Poco Bueno is another great all time sire whose influence through his offspring have also changed the breed. Lots of Doc Bars best offspring were out of Poco Bueno or Poco Tivio daughters.
This outstanding mare was bred by Frank Perkins who has concentrated his program around the Poco Bueno lines for many years.
