I bought this mare back in June 2023 for my broodmare program but I’ve decided to go a different direction. She is sired by CC Shorty with NCHA earnings of more than $13k. Greta is a sweet mare but can be hard to catch without feed. Not much had been done with her in the last 3 years but she had come a long way per previous owner. She had been rough handled in years prior. She is not crazy but needs a kind hand to keep and build her trust.... (read more) She is green broke and I had my colt starter ride her for a couple of weeks. She never bucked and rode right off. She’s very cowy and hunts a cow. She seems to notice them from miles away. A good home is a must. She has a current negative coggins, recent dental float, been dewormed. Her hooves are a work in progress. They had not been done in 3 years when I got her so still working on correcting the flare.
I’ve had a 13 yr old trail ride her some. Acted like she’s done that before and didn’t miss a beat. Don’t know if she’s ever been on a trail ride but she took right to it. Impressed me. Greta has not been passed around and NEVER been through a sale barn.
* Update*
Greta has been panel tested and is 4 panel negative. N/PSSM1. Her sire is N/PSSM1, as well. I have not had any issues out of her.
