Looking for a big gelding that is gentle and broke?
Angus is a 16.1, 11 yr old AQHA gelding, and just as kind hearted as he is pretty. Broke with all the buttons.
Good W/T/L, sidepasses, pivots both ways, he will neck rein. Ride him bareback in a halter if you wish.
Good with time off. I have pulled him out of the pasture after over a month off and taken him to a clinic for a weekend without issue. He’s a fun trail or arena horse.... (read more) He knows the barrel pattern (4D/3D times). He’s drug calves and moved cows, and has roped the heelomatic; would need a small roping refresher.
Angus prefers someone that knows how to ride. He is gentle and has taken care of me when I am nervous, but I do not consider him kid or beginner suitable. He would be okay for a boyfriend to hop on under supervision. He would be great for a youth (12+) that has experience. Good to tack up, bridle, and mount. Good ground manners and easy to trailer, trim, brush.
Usually fairly easy to catch with oats but he does have his days where it takes an extra minute.
Absolutely zero buck, bolt, or rear whatsoever.
