This boy was supposed to be going to trick training this month and then placed available but the trainer has pushed it back. I have too many horses to keep all of them in work.
I’ve had this boy for the better half of a year. So he’s offered CHEAP for a quick and easy sale!
“Kong” is an 11 year old Percheron gelding standing 18.2 hands high and has “WOW” written all over him. He catches everyone’s eye, no matter where you go, you will always get noticed with this guy!... (read more) Kong is not only a stunner but he has a personality to match his looks! He will lay down for you to mount which not only makes it the easiest thing in the world to get on, but it’s a fun trick to show friends and family!
This beautiful boy stands in cross ties to be groomed and loved on. He has great ground manners and knows what personal space is. Kong will load onto any trailer you ask him to and is a gentleman to haul. This boy stands to be clipped, bathed, and braided. He will stand in a stall quiet as a mouse or he’s always happy to be turned out. In the field, Kong gets along with everyone. He is in a field with mares, geldings, and youngsters and he absolutely adores the babies in the field with him! You can often find him in the field spending time grooming the weanlings and yearlings. He is easy to make friends with and isn’t a problem starter in the field. Kong is great around dogs, cats, chickens, sheep, goats, hogs, and cattle.
Under saddle, Kong might be large but he is light on his feet and has three very floaty and comfortable rocking horse gaits. He picks up all gaits easily followed by a great stop. This guy is light and easy on his feet and has an exceptional handle to him. He will side-pass, collect, and go into frame, and ride in a neck rope! This boy rides around like a warmblood. Kong will pop over any obstacles you point him at and always goes forward with confidence.
On the trail, Kong will go out alone or in a group and is always glad to take the lead and show them how it’s done or sit behind and follow the crew. He will cross water, ditches, bridges, mud, roots, and more! He is confident going down the trail and nothing comes as a surprise to him. Kong is 100% traffic safe and will safely take you across a road if need be. He loves the beach will make any beach day 10X better with him there! He doesn’t get worked up in crowds of people or in a place with lots of commotion and loves the attention he usually gets when people come up to pet him. We have taken him on weekend camping trips with us and he’s always on his best behavior and seems to enjoy his time out as much as we all do!
Under harness, This boy is a dream! Kong was previously owned by a carriage company and knows all about driving. He is simple and easy to harness and hook, easy and patient enough for one person to do it all themselves and waits patiently until you get in the wagon and get situated. He will stand all day waiting for his next cue and will walk on when asked. Kong stops and stands at stop signs patiently waiting his turn. He will gladly take you for a nice stroll around the farm or take you to town. Kong is safe enough for anyone to drive. He stays in his lane on the road and is never up in the bit.
We cannot say enough good things about this boy. He is truly one in a million.
