Malibu is a 2022 AQHA yearling mare by VT owned stallion Vested Royalty. This stallion was known for his easy handling and intelligence and earned 160 AQHA heeling points in team roping.... (read more) His offspring also include multiple Superiors in western pleasure. Vested Royalty was a son of Investment Creditor, a NSBA Stallion Owners Futurity Champion, earner of AQHA points in western pleasure, and top ten finalist at AQHA World. Investment Creditor’s offspring have earned over 4 thousand AQHA points and 61 ROM awards. Other notable bloodlines include The Big Investment, whose offspring have earned 73 ROMs, as well as The Investor, sire of 4 AQHA world champions. Malibu is the last offspring of Vested Royalty who passed away last year. Malibu’s dam, Envy Me Only, is a granddaughter of Invitation Only, AQHA All Time Leading Sire of Point Earners and NSBA Hall of Fame stallion. Invitation Only has sired 210 World, Congress, and Reserve champions across multiple AQHA disciplines. Malibu is sure to have a promising western career.
This intelligent yearling is a part of our Equine Youngstock Training and Marketing course and has been desensitized to many novel stimuli and obstacles. Malibu stands calmly for tying, picking up feet and grooming. She has loads into a stock type trailer. By the time of sale we anticipate she will additionally carry a saddle and wear a bridle, as well as lunge at the walk, trot, and canter.
The following paperwork will be provided in her sale portfolio: AQHA registration papers, health record with vaccine, deworming and farrier records since birth, current Coggins, and a health certificate if traveling out of state lines.
Virginia Tech Equine
The Virginia Tech Campbell & Smithfield Horse Units are located on either side of route 460 between the Virginia Tech exits. These farms are integrated into a quiet corner of campus and offer many opportunities to Virginia Tech students and employees. Our Campbell Unit houses 20-30 equitation program horses that are used in equitation lessons and for our on-campus hunter and dressage teams. The Smithfield Unit is home to our research and teaching herd.... (read more) This includes our breeding program which raises AQHA and sport horse youngstock. We currently have 6 AQHA & thoroughbred broodmares with all foals, yearlings, and 2 yr olds being used for teaching equine training and marketing.
Our mission is to promote a higher understanding of the study of equine science to the students of Virginia Tech. We also strive to produce quality foals each year to raise, train and sell them to good homes.
