12 year old, 13.2hh haflinger gelding, perfect all-around mount for either a determined kid or smaller adult as he takes up a ton of leg (wears a size 72 blanket). He jumps fully dressed 2’ courses and has schooled higher. Showed in the cross rail hunters at Silver shows with good results. Competed at Trillium Championships coming home with a 4th and 10th over fences as well as packing a preschooler around the lead line. Just finished this season schooling shows short stirrup finishing year-end in top 5 with 12 and 13 year old riders.... (read more) Has a lead change but it isn’t auto yet. A straightforward ride on both the flat and over fences. Loves to jump. Is beginner safe except complete beginner would have trouble getting him going. A determined rider on his back and on the ground will get the best out of this haflinger. That’s what he needs if you want to show him hunters. Trail anyone could take him. He wants to bond with one or two people instead of the many different riders we have for him at the school. Not much phases this guy, he’s not afraid of anything and will trail around if that’s what you want to do. Been a riding school pony this year. Bonds well with one or two riders, and prefers a person of his own. He is a haflinger and as such is extremely intelligent. Earn his respect on the ground by being a fair, clear, but rewarding partner and there’s nothing he won’t do for you. Some maintenance. Good home only, he’s a sweetheart. Easy keeper, ration balancer and hay only, barefoot, trailers like a dream, baths, clips. Can happily live in or out.
