Bourbon is an absolutely gorgeous dappled buckskin that is sure to turn heads everywhere he goes. He has done a little bit of everything. Bourbon enjoys trail riding, water, and is traffic safe. He is broke enough to ride bareback and Bridleless, in a halter, or just about any bit. He is 110% safe but isn’t a dead head. Out on the ranch, down the trail, or through town he is quiet and happy to go and see new places.... (read more) Bourbon isn’t buddy sour and will ride off from others without a fuss. When I got him he had been being ridden by a 7 year old but she wasn’t strong enough to ride him on the patterns. He was good with her everywhere else though and knows when he has a little on his back. I have a 2 year old who loves to ride him and I trust this gentle guy to take care of him both on the ground and in the saddle no matter how long he has been sitting. Bourbon is really a fun horse to go and do anything on. He is always safe and rides off after a break like he never missed a day. I have jumped on him out in the pasture and rounded up other horses that were being butts to catch. He isn’t in your pocket to the extent of being a nuisance but he does meet you at the gate and loves cookies and attention. He’s really an easy and low maintenance guy to have around. Bourbon is utd on everything and is good for the vet and farrier. I have started using him to pony colts to get a handle on them before spring. He is easy to work them off of and you can hang off of him and mess with them and the saddles with no problems. Absolutely no buck or goofy to him at all! Gehring Performance Horses

I took a bit of a break after having my son and sold several personal horses. That being said, I have missed training so will be keeping a few at a time, just not at many as before with a wild little toddler to chase around now. We take pride in offering high quality performance horses as well as family friendly trail companions. Everything that steps foot on this place has to be 110% safe under saddle as well as on the ground because my little boy thinks they all can be drug around the same as his ponies.... Our horse are never just arena horses, they are ridden on the roads and through town, by multiple riders including my toddler, are hauled everywhere to ride because there is no riding facility at my place with all the rock. My son loves to lead them around on foot, on his bike, or even from one of his many battery operated vehicles. A great mind no matter their job is always our first priority!! Be sure to check out our videos on youtube as we try to show absolutely everything we can so you feel like you know them before you ever bring your new horse home. Most of our buyers purchase and ship them off of their videos so we aim to be as comprehensive as possible. Don’t ever hesitate to ask if you want to see something that isn’t shown also.
