Teeko is a 4 year old, grey, quarter horse cross gelding ( ¾ QH / ¼ Percheron). Teeko currently stands 15.2HH and should mature to 15.3-16.0HH. Teeko is a home-raised gelding that has been raised and trained through the program in Missouri since he was a yearling. Teeko has a very solid foundation under saddle and would be a showstopper in the western or english dressage, ranch riding or working equitation. Teeko is very level minded and willing inside and outside of the arena.... (read more) Teeko has many hours of training in the arena as well as many miles outside of the arena. He has been exposed to all types of machinery, traffic, ATV’s, and wildlife. Teeko is great riding next to 70 MPH traffic with motorcycles blaring their music! He will go absolutely anywhere you point him, crossing bridges, water, obstacles and slippery terrain. He is very sure-footed on the trials and takes great care of his rider.
In the arena, Teeko is my personal favorite to ride on a daily basis! He is very smooth, uncomplicated, and willing to do whatever is asked of him. He is a very fast learner and travels beautifully under both english and western tack. Teeko is very soft in the bridle, and responses to voice, leg and seat cues. He will pick up both correct leads, pivot on his haunches and side pass both directions. He has a very smooth sitting trot and transition into an extended trot with a simple smooch!
Teeko does not have any stable or pasture vices! He is easy to catch and gets along with all types of herd settings. He is content in both stalling and turn out environments! He stands like a gentleman for the farrier and the vet and is currently barefoot! He is UTD on all dental, shots, coggins, worming and trimming! He loads and unloads from the trailer with ease and stands to be groomed, bathed, and tacked with no problems! He is currently pending registration with the IDSHR and all paperwork will be forwarded into new owner’s name!
Teeko is located at our ranch in Huntsville, Texas, one hour away from the Houston Airport! All serious parties are more than welcome to come see, try and vet Teeko at their expense! We can help arrange shipping!
