HONEY is 14 yrs old, 15.1 hands. Located on the Western Slope, CO.

She rides and drives. Sidepasses to open/close gates. Crosses water, bridges, etc. Loads into the trailer like a dream. Great around dogs, cats, kids. She loves to trail ride, which is mostly all I've done with her for the 7 years I've had her. She is trained to drive and comes with her own custom harness. She is UTD on preventive health care, good for the vet.... (read more) Stands well for hoof trims, I've only used her barefoot. I'm sure she is fine for clipping, but I prefer a natural mane and have never tried to roach it. She's been ridden in a 4th of July parade, cool as a cucumber.

I've come to a difficult decision to pass her on because I moved up to a wild mountain top a couple of years ago, excited at the prospect of being able to trail ride her right off the property. Sadly, it has become clear that she is very fearful of all the bears up around our house. She goes well down the trail until she sees or smells one. I had hoped she would get over it, but I can't risk getting bucked off and hurt. She is a well trained, sweet, versatile critter. I trust that she won't put anyone in danger if she is not in a bear-inhabited neighborhood
