Donut
Haflinger gelding

Donut came to us as a trade in, from a private individual who was looking for a bigger horse. Donut is a stocky 14 hand haflinger cross gelding with a heart of gold. Several years ago they purchased him from a riding stable that gives guided trail rides to the public. He was a great beginner horse for this family as they were just getting into horses. He did his job very well!
We have enjoyed having him around the farm and he is everything that they told us he was.... (read more) Donut is pretty much a professional trail horse and very relaxing to ride. Unlike some horses that have come from riding stables, Donut has no issues riding away from other horses, and is easily rode out by himself. He is also great to ride in the arena and has a nice w/t/c. He neck reins and does back up. ( could use a little polishing on the back up).
Donut is very suitable for a beginner rider and family. He is gentle both on the ground and in the saddle. He is not too forward or in hurry about anything. He would be a cute 4-H prospect and lesson horse as he seems to be very patient with learning riders. He requires no maintenance or special care, and is currently shod, he does have a blemish (indention) on his cheek, from years ago but it does not affect him.
