Takini is a kill pen rescue. Since she came to us, she has been sweet, calm and trustworthy. I saw her online and something told me I had to rescue her. I figured I could have a little western side hobby since I am a full time gaited horse trainer, but I am realizing I don’t have the time or energy for another horse. Both my kids have ridden her and I have worked with her a lot. She rides in a bit less bridle and has a very smooth trot. Since she is coming from a rescuer situation, I want her to have the best home possible!

Solheimar Farm

Solheimar (The Home of the Sun) is an Icelandic horse farm in Tunbridge, Vermont. Our horses enjoy the beautiful rolling hills in the Green Mountains. The trails from the farm offer spectacular views and great variety of forest and mountain scenery. Solheimar is an Icelandic Horse breeding farm offering excellent trail and top competition horses for sale. Our other services include lessons (in our indoor arena, on our oval track, and trails), clinics, farrier services, training, consulting services, and tack sales. We have lesson horses available for lease.
