Gator is a 6 year old 15.0 hand grade dapple grey Quarter Horse Gelding. He is absolutely stunning to look at and is very well put together with a nice head and correct confirmation. This horse was owned and trail ridden extensively by a 78 year old man out in Ohio. He will go anywhere you point him with zero hesitation. Rides out alone with no issue and will go down the road without batting an eye. He is sure footed, will cross bridges, rivers and overpasses.... (read more) This is a real deal trail horse that has seen a lot of trail miles. He’ll ride with other horses also with no issue but has honestly been trail ridden more alone than with other horses so he certainly doesn’t require the confidence of another horse. Yes, I know Gator is just 6 years old but he is quiet and rides with more whoa than go. He is a kick ride and is not hot or fast ever. He’ll ride quieter than a lot of horses that are 3x his age. Before coming here he was always ridden western, we threw English tack on him and he went right to riding. You would honestly never know it if I didn’t tell you. He rides both English and western equally well. He had never jumped before, we asked him to do it and he went right over the jumps with no hesitation. We just asked him to go over a couple cross rails to see if he’s willing which he is. If you want to jump more and bigger he’ll definitely do it. You can ride him on the buckle in a snaffle bit. Stands like a statue at the mounting block and has a lot of patience. You can make a mistake and he isn’t going to be a reactive horse. The perfect horse for beginners, kids, lessons or someone just wanting a good quiet, safe gelding. Gator is very versatile and willing to do whatever. His gaits are nice and he knows his leads. He does require leg like I said before but it’s not so much leg that’ll drive you crazy or make you feel like you had an intense workout because the horses that need to be constantly kicked aren’t any fun to ride and at the end of the day really won’t teach you anything other than just get you frustrated. Gator really never did arena work before coming here but he’s honest, willing and goes right with it. He has a soft mouth, good brakes and backs up. Gator has exceptional ground manners and a sweet in your pocket personality. Walks right up to you in the stall and comes right to you in a big open field. He bathes, crossties and trailers. The one and only thing this gelding does not like is clippers. Other than that he is great for everything. We did his ears and face with scissors and he was completely fine and stood like a total gentleman. 100% sound, no vices, excellent feet, clean legged and requires no maintenance or supplements what so ever. A very easy keeper that’ll happily live inside or out. Gets along with all other horses and is dominant at all. Low man in the pecking order or he’ll happily live alone. Up to date on everything and ready to go to his new home. Be sure to check out his YouTube video. It shows how he handles, English, western, jumping, transitions, trail riding and even more. Our videos are lengthly but they’re worth the watch. Additional photos are coming, the weather hasn’t been cooperating with us. In the videos it’ll show his confirmation and what he looks like with no saddle. We are located in Allentown NJ 08501.
