"King" is an 11 year old foundation bred AQHA gelding. The papers on this guy were the old style lines that were meant to ride on the ranch, rope out of the box, run a set of barrels, and then stand in a halter class the next day. These bloodlines are getting scarcer to find!

We were told this guy came off a feedlot operation.... (read more) He is GENTLE, and saddles up the same everyday for us. He rides fantastic outside, and in a few short rides took to packing his head and doing it just as well in the arena for us. No buck, no popping up on the front end, no funny business - just the same honest horse for us every day.

He took to all of our desensitization tactics on day one, as if he had seen it his whole life. On the trail, he goes where you point him. He has crossed water, gone up and down hills, through the woods, and out in our cow field. At only 11 years old, with a solid set of papers, he has his entire life ahead of him. He could stay going down the trail, be used on another operation, or get going in the arena with a job. This possibilities are endless with this guy!

After some real time working, he is not cosmetically perfect, but who is? He did scrape the hair off of his hip on our (now old - and purposely removed) fence. As the law of physics will tell you - a horse will only do that at the worst time - when he knows he has a new home waiting. The hair is already growing back, and should not leave a mark. It may already be gone by the time he gets home to you, as it didn't even break the skin!

Don't pass this guy up for a few cosmetic flaws, because you're going to get ALOT of horse in the process of it.
