Currently selling as broodmare/recip mare/pasture pet!
This 15hh, 8 year old mare (Zippos Mr. Good Bar) has amazing potential. I just don’t have the time (or arena space) to ride and devote to her. She needs to be in regular, consistent work. I’ve had her since January 2021. She’s been ridden both English and Western. Earlier this year scored upper 60s/low 70s in Western Dressage schooling shows with a junior rider.... (read more) She’s also gone over cross rails and done a few 2 ft jumps. Rosie would excel best in a training program and/or with consistent riding and groundwork. She gets better and better when in regular work. She needs a confident leader; I would not recommend for a beginner.
Mid to low in the pecking order, and does well out with mares and geldings. Not barn or buddy sour. She would probably be best living outside, but does fine in a stall.
May 2022, did 30 days of professional under saddle training with an English trainer and 90 days with Dennis Cappel at the end of 2022. Participated in a clinic with Amy Skinner in April 2023.
Easy keeper. Front shoes.
She would throw some pretty babies or even be an excellent recip mare! Won halter classes before I got her. She would be pretty in showmanship classes. Never worked with cows, but I think she’d love it. I have riding videos of her when I purchased her and videos of her Western Dressage schooling shows.
Loads great at home, can be a little sticky loading off property; but does well with pressure/release to get on. She can be spooky at times, but seems mostly when she hasn’t been in consistent work. Rosie really needs a job, regular ground work and under saddle work.
