One might see this horse's race track success and assume him to be a hot headed type but he is simply the most classy and self confident easy-going gelding there is.... (read more) How is his temperament? The phrases "old-soul" and "go-with-the-flow" all aptly describe him. In fact, I have selfishly held on to him as a sale project much longer than normal due to my fondness of just having him around. Franci has been given ample let down time but very easily been restarted as a well rounded sport horse for his next career. From the first post track ride, he has been very trustworthy and naturally self secure. He can be ridden in a very inconsistent schedule and be the same trustworthy guy, even with time off. Franci has no vices, hacks alone or in company, trailers (self loading), stands for farrier/vet, easy to live with, happy outside or in a stall. First to nicker and greet you when you walk in the barn (particularly if it's time to eat.) Franci has been off property to a schooling show, been ridden by riders of various levels, and taught a few lessons to students. Franci comes with "track jewelry" on a front ankle that has not restricted or bothered him in any way and will be sold with recent radiographs. Franci is best suited for a lower impact career and while still green, has a school master temperament in my opinion and would enjoy a job as a teacher potentially. Located in Versailles, KY. Special considerations to the right home.
