Nash is a 7y/o,18.1hh black Percheron gelding who is broke to ride & drive. He is UTD on trim, wormer, coggins, vaccines, dental, vet check, & is barefoot but can also go shod. His former owner did some events & carriage rides with him in a town setting. He drives single or double. Is road/traffic/busy town safe. Stops & stands patiently when asked.... (read more) Beginners can easily harness, hook, & drive him. Nash could do a little farm work, take the kids for a Sunday stroll, or just as easily work a wedding. Although he's a big boy, he really couldn't be any sweeter, friendlier, or more gentle. His size accommodates larger riders, but we've also let our kids ride him. He's just as respectful under saddle as he is on the ground. Nash stands to mount from anything & also to bathe, groom, bridle, tack, harness, ties, loads, & hauls. His inquisitive & personable demeanor makes him a hit with everyone he meets! While he's still on the younger side, he always gives 100% & aims to please. He's not fancy broke, but he's always been one we can rely on to carry us safely & have a great time with. Under saddle, he suits all riding levels from beginner to experienced. He will w/t/c but is a tad more whoa than go. Canter takes a little pushing. For his size, he gets around nicely, especially in the ring. Nash is willing, yet a bit lazy, over jumps, but with more consistency, could excel at anything! Along with driving, his miles are on the trails. Nash will travel wherever he's pointed, isn't spooky or fussy, & covers all types of terrains. We took him into the creek & he didn't mind random kids swimming or splashing next to him! He'll carry the flag, pony another horse, drag things, dogs under foot, & even walks right into Tractor Supply! We ride him bareback into town right next to heavy traffic, crowds swarming him, & even into the drive-thru. We put our horses to the test & he easily surpassed what was expected of him! Nash has the potential to go in other directions. With his mind, drive, & huge heart, it wouldn't take much! He'd be great for mounted patrol, parades, lessons, therapy work, carriage rides, fox hunts, etc.. This sweet soul would love to meet you.? He's the ultimate family man!
