She is a bright, friendly girl who enjoys discovering new places and learning new skills. She has mainly been ridden on trails, where she is fearless and confident. She also has some arena experience, where she shows talent for dressage or jumping. She is at the ideal age and stage in her training where you can take her in any direction and finish her your way.... (read more) We have worked on keeping a smooth and balanced gait in the arena and having a soft mouth. She has a great attitude and tries very hard to please her rider. She is not spooky or hot, but she is sensitive and responsive, so she needs a rider who can communicate clearly and gently with her to complete her training as a well-rounded horse that can do anything and go anywhere. She is suitable for intermediate adults and children riding in a lesson program with a trainer or any level rider looking for a reliable and trustworthy trail partner with many years ahead of her.
Roxy is current on all her shots, worming, teeth, and feet. She has no vices or bad habits. She is easy to catch, lead, tie, groom, saddle, and mount. She stands calmly for the vet and the farrier. She loads and hauls quietly and is happy to jump in the trailer for a day trail ride or overnight pack trip. Roxy will take the lead or pick up the rear in a group ride. She crosses water, goes over bridges, and through tunnels. She will ride through town without even flinching at the traffic or train if it goes by. She gets along with other horses in the pasture and can be stalled in a box stall.
