Hands down, one of the most fun ponies we’ve had! While he is only four, he is quiet and gentle with a great brain. This pony has seen a lot of country and had lots of miles put on him. He came off a ranch in Texas where the ranch kids rode him daily out with the big horses. He’s seen cattle, he’s roped, he’s pushed cows, he opens and closes gates, you name it, he’s probably done it.... (read more) You can push him out and go after a herd of cows, but you can stop him and drop the reins and he stands like a gentleman and walks off quiet. He is by no means hot and spicy. He has a nice ranch walk and will keep up with the big horses all day. His trot and canter are nice and smooth. He crosses water, is sure footed on slick terrain. If you point his nose, he will go. He is not yet suited for the beginner kid due to his age, but an intermediate kid or one looking for a move up, he would be suited for. If you want something you can trust, he is the pony for the job.

He will ride in the arena, has been started over fences. He shows great ability to jump, and is easily going over 2’. He picks up both leads. Learning about English type of contact as well. He is suited to go in any direction or be the ideal all around pony we grew up with. If our boys were a little older, he wouldn’t be available.

He stands well for the farrier. Ties nicely. Hauls well. Needs a little work with clippers and to stand perfectly while getting bathed. Rides off quiet every day.
