This gentle grey guy has it all. He walk trots and canters, both leads and neck reins. He direct reins so he is comfortable to ride under western or English tack. He is happiest just hacking around or trail riding. He is an all around good lesson mount but needs a gentle hand. For this reason I would say the completely inexperienced shouldn't seek Casper to purchase. It is clear at some point in his past he was handled roughly. He stands, ties, cross ties, loads, bathes and has great ground manners.... (read more) The few things that I have seen him react to have greatly reduced with desensitization training and just exposure. My students play mounted games on him, ride him bareback and bathe him all the time. Casper came from a riding program that was closing and I was told he is an Andalusian cross. He is a nice mover and responds to leg aids well. Other than my program being full, Casper would be staying for as long as he liked. I am in no rush to sell and I am happy to entertain lease options. He is safe, sound and rideable.
