Sage is a 2018 (5 yr old) Grey Purebred Arabian Mare. She is bred and build for Endurance, and even Cow work. She has excellent conformation for any kind of a "doing" horse you could ever want or need. Big solid hooves, laid back shoulder, wonderful hind quarter, soft kind attitude, big solid horse. She has been trailered a couple thousand miles and does so quietly.... (read more) Extremely easy keeper, winters easy, worms easy, is ready to be started under saddle. Needs a little work with her feet, but have been working on it. Gives to pressure, ties, stands quietly, in the middle of the pack for pecking order, is the first to greet you at the gate, no chasing her to catch her (she LOVES LifeSaver Mints), she has been saddled and had someone on her back without even a second thought about it. She is going to be an amazing saddle horse for someone. Sage has been dappling out beautiful every summer, she is a gorgeous snowflake dapple (so is her dam). She will be doing some training this month and her price will go up reflecting her saddle training.

Sage is bred phenomenally. Her sire is out of Massachusetts and is a 15.1hh *Bask++ grandson and *Nabborr g-grandson on his top side, and Spanish and Polish/Egyptian mix on the bottom. Was an outstanding mover, and produced his hind quarter on all his foals, as well as extreme athleticism. His siblings and sire did very well in Saddle Seat, Dressage, Jumping, Driving and Halter. Sage's dam is 15hh mare bred and raised by me and is a *Serafix, Fadjur and Babson bred mare, some of the older lines very close up. She is a great saddle horse for me, big-bodied mare, and produces her temperament in all her foals, very laid back and easy going. I've used her for moving cows and general mountain riding, can go all day with no quit in her. Her foals are 4H horses and Endurance and Cross Country Jumpers, people love them.
