Highlights:
*7 years old - one owner
*16h
*Sound, no maintenance. Currently shod all the way around because he is showing but has great feet and could easily go barefoot!... (read more)
*Clips, bathes, ties, crossties, trailers.
*Big, pretty mover. Ground covering trot and lope. Likes to carry his head low and pretty.
*Nice all-around type arena horse. Has not been taken a lot out on the trail yet but has done ok the few times he's been out. Will be making efforts to get him out there more to see how he does.
*2+ years of full-time professional training. Gently started by Sheryl Lynde as a 2-year old. At 5 years old went into the reining horse foundation program at Rancho Los Amigos in San Diego, and then spent another 1+ years in training with Melissa Shanholtz. Proficient in all of his upward and downward transitions (walk, extended walk, trot, extended trot, lope, extended lope), smooth simple lead changes, nice stop and back, has a turnaround, and a side pass.
*Sweet, kind, sensitive guy. Best suited for competent, confident rider with intermediate and up skills.
*Goes English & Western. Shank bit or snaffle. Can go one-handed in a shank bit but needs a little more time to get finished in the bridle.
*Shown in the ranch horse events. Good in the ranch riding and ranch rail. Started on the obstacles for the ranch trail but needs more experience and finishing there. He'll do the poles, gate, bridge, and all of the maneuvers. Has not yet been introduced to the log drag.
*Can continue on in the ranch horse events with him but would also make a neat Western Dressage mount and/or go English on him and do Dressage, the Hunter Under Saddle, English Pleasure, and English Equitation. He has a showmanship pivot, moves off your shoulder when leading, and trots in hand. Recently introduced to small arena jumps as well.
Limited showing, but in the time he has been shown he:
*Was the 2021 West Coast Ranch Horse Open 5/6-Year-Old Futurity Champion in the Ranch Riding with Melissa Shanholtz!
*2022 High-Point Ranch Horse Award at the Willow Glen Show Series
*Numerous Top 3 and Top 5 placings at 2022 West Coast Ranch Horse shows
