If you are looking to breed for wonderful temperament, gait and beautiful color, this may be your opportunity. McCurdy’s Magic Man, our well-tempered homozygous roan and homozygous black stallion is being offered for sale.

We’ve owned Magic Man since he was weaned at 4 months of age. Since then, he’s been groomed to be a well-behaved and productive stallion.... (read more) He’s had many months of regular ground training, is easy to handle, very friendly and ready to do his job. He easily grooms, clips (including ears), bathes, and loads (see below for training). He's a joy to work with.

Magic Man has nice conformation, a natural gait and should finish out at 15.1hh. Magic Man is a classic blue roan with no white. As homozygous roan and homozygous black, he will always throw both roan and black genes. Depending on the mare he’s bred, to there are many desirable color combinations including blue roan, bay roan and buckskin roan.

Magic Man has a very nice pedigree – he’s out of Painted Bleau Magic 4R (out of Stuntman’s Bleau Majic) and McCurdy’s Way Pretty WWF (a McCurdy’s Roan Lightening mare). See pedigree attached.

Magic Man meets you in the pasture to say ‘hello’ and get a scratch or rub. He loves attention and to be brushed and groomed. He’s been pastured with another stallion, a gelding and also several mares. He’s not the alpha in the herd but takes care of himself. He’s kind and respectful of the mares in herd.

Magic Man’s ground training has given him a base that most stallions do not have. This training has helped to make Magic Man a wonderful choice if you’re looking for a stallion that’s easy to work with. He could have multiple jobs and be trained to ride as well. Proficiencies include:
