Canvas is a 12 year old, 15.1hh gelding. He would excel in any job you give him. He was used as a mounted patrol horse for A&O. He has since been used as a trail horse. Hes been ridden on several trails on a ton of different terrain. Hes been on loads of camping trips, he high ties great. He's rode in parades and is fine with crowds, loud noises and sirens... He is not for beginners. He has a big motor, he's fast, he likes to go fast and he is forward.... (read more) He does walk and go slow but if asked he will go! He has the stamina to work all day and he never gets tired. He's a super sweet, in your pocket type of guy. Not a mean bone in his body. He's never offered to buck, bolt, rear or kick. He loads in any type of trailer all by himself. He gets along fine by himself or with other horses. Nothing phases him, change doesn't bother him. He neck reins, direct reins and goes off leg pressure. He's fine with gunshots and fireworks. He yields fronts and hinds. Side passes goes over any obstacle. He loves water! Crossed bridges, logs, ditches...you name it! He's fine riding around traffic, cars, big trucks, 4 wheelers and farm equipment. He's very hardy, zero matinace, his hooves are soild. He's fine barefoot, he can ride barefoot over rocks and concrete and isn't tender footed at all. He can be shod and will hold a shoe forever, does great for the farrier. He's never had any soundness issues or heath issues. Loves baths, grooming and he enjoys working! He takes deworming and shots like a champ. I cannot think of anything bad to say about this horse. He can be rode in any type of bit or bitless. Ridden western but will also ride English or bareback. He's not a follower so if he's around other horses that act crazy he will stay cool and calm. He's up to date on coggins, all vaccinations, deworming, feet and his teeth were done in January. He would be a great barrel, trail, ranch, or mounted patrol horse for someone. This guy is a all around, thick, solid, sweet horse! He will come with his halter, lead rope, winter turn out blanket, fly sheet, fly mask, BOT boots, and his bridle set with his bit he's normally rode in. He's never needed to wear his winter blanket but he's got one just incase!
