VERY handsome, blue-eyed red overo gelding! He is roughly 10 years old and stands 15.1hh.

He is suited for a confident intermediate or advanced rider. Ideal for trails mainly because he's a little on the lazy side and he does not neck rein. He's not spooky, you can walk him through water, swing a rope off of him, have other horses running/playing and he's cool as a cucumber. Easy to catch on my 200 acre pasture at any time of day.... (read more) Stands still for tacking up/fly spray even if he's not tied. Stands tied without throwing a fit, loads/unloads good in trailer.

He WILL (almost always) act goosey and like he might buck when you go to get on- the first couple minutes he's tight and hunched up. With or without lunging this is how he acts- I do NOT ride bucking horses and I can ride him just fine. I flex his head to the side until he stands, couple times on each side, move a couple circles and he'll calm down and get very relaxed. You do not need a long warm up, he's fine to trot/lope within the first 5 minutes or so. If you're not confident, this is not the horse for you. He has not been ridden regularly, and he does get a lot better when he is ridden regularly. I'll jump on him and ride trails with trees brushing up against us, horses in front or back he doesn't care. He's not young to speed up to try and catch up if everyone else starts trotting or loping off. He's a good horse you just can't get scared or nervous when you first get on him.
