Here is a fancy-broke, fancy-bred mare ready for her career on the ranch or in the arena. She’s been ridden for 3 years & hauled to clinics, reined cowhorse lessons, entered horse shows, ridden in the mountains, roped the dummy & moved cattle. Very balanced & smooth-riding. Super athletic, cowy & comfortable with a rope. Strong-minded, but sweet, intelligent & confident under saddle.
Her sire is by the only full brother to High Brow Cat, Smart Lil Highbrow.... (read more) Her dam is by Wild Thing DNA (exported to Brazil in 2013) and out of a CD Olena daughter. She is 6-panel N/N & would be an asset in the broodmare pen, as well. 100% sound with no maintenance needed. She’s a stout-made, easy-keeping mare & I expect her to last a long time.
She would be an excellent fit for a full time ranch or finish her roping training and hit the rodeo road. She would also excel in working cowhorse competitions with some more focused training. The hard work is done; this mare is broke, broke, broke and ready to specialize in anything you want.
Strengths:
➳ Rides off your seat & legs, one or two-handed
➳ Very ratey with tons of stop
➳ Developing a nice spin
➳ Drags logs, opens gates, side-passes
➳ Has entered local & AQHA horse/VRH shows
➳ Really watches a cow
➳ Has roped the dummy
➳ Overnight trail rides in Yellowstone NP
➳ Watches where she puts her feet
➳ Crosses water, bridges
➳ Mid-low pecking order in my herd
➳ Comfortable trailering & has thousands of hauling miles
➳ Good eater & drinker; very easy keeper
➳ Confident, outgoing mare; not a worrier
Quirks:
➳ Not great with the farrier
➳ Warms up tight after time off, but easy to talk her out of being silly. She is not a bucker, just quick & playful.

I specialize in offering well-started young equine prospects who are ready to start their careers. I search for good-minded weanlings and yearlings with excellent conformation, bone and proven pedigrees. When I feel they have the experience and buttons needed to be successful, usually 3-5 years in my program, they are offered to the public.
I also work with BLM mustangs and often have several available for re-homing and/or adoption at a variety of training levels.
