*Fun to ride! HONEST, reliable, brave, and so sweet.
*A VERY good girl. Spunky! More go than whoa, but can ride on a loose rein and has good brakes.
*Best suited for confident rider simply due to her generally forward way of going.
*Goes English & Western. Shank bit or snaffle. Neck reins - ride one handed or two handed. Trail rides. GREAT jump on this mare. Schooled over cross country & arena jumps. Started on arena trail obstacles. Cute mover & build.

Previous owner used her in a lesson program on the flat, over arena jumps, cross country, trail riding, & endurance riding. Over the past year she's been started back over the jumps and doing great! Easily jumps up to 2'9"+ in the ring. Has also been schooling intro through novice (up to 2'11") cross country jumps. Ask me for photos/video. This mare has a big, but comfortable jump and has been honest and brave no matter where you point her.

EXCELLENT out on trail! She's always a go-to mount. She's steady, brave, and reliable. Rides on a loose rein. Goes through water. Has gone camping with us. At times she might go a few weeks without being ridden before we would load her up and take her out on a trail ride. She always stays broke, honest, and trustworthy.

Perfect for a confident kiddo or smaller woman who wants a fun, forward ride. Would make a fun eventer, Pony Club mount, pony jumper, and/or trail horse. I also can see her being a good gymkhana mount. As stated above, previous owners also used her for endurance riding and with her spunk and sure-footedness on the trail, I can see why she'd make a nice mount for that too. Started over trail obstacles in the arena (poles, gate, bridge, cones, etc.). She is a versatile mare with a wonderful disposition!

We have had Poppy for several years and truly enjoy her & love her. She's a joy to own and easy to be around. We are offering her for sale because she's too small for my husband to ride & I don't get to ride her enough. Poppy has so much to offer but she's continuously put on the back burner because I now have 3 young show horses to focus on. While she has a good life with us, I feel she deserves someone with more time to enjoy her and that will utilize her better! We are not rushed to sell her and will continue to ride her and love her until she finds a GREAT home.
