2024 Rare BIG Smokey Black Colt by our Imported Double Cream Stallion Tiberius GSA and Opalina ADF - (Gaucho III x Olmypia NR) Is a GAUCHO III daughter with under saddle training done at DG Bar in California. She is an exceptional mover with a gorgeous head and neck! She has produced some of my most beautiful babies. Her Grandsire, Gaucho III, Bred by Senorio de Bariain, Gaucho III was by Panadero VIII out of Bizarra XIII (by Peruano x Valenciano XIII).... (read more) In Spain he was a successful halter horse who won "Best Movement" at SICAB in Sevilla and gained high points in the ANCCE "Book of Merits" both for conformation and movement. Gaucho III was imported into the U.S.A by Danish born American Janne Rumbough in 1996. She began competing him in 1998 and in two years time moved from small tour level to Grand Prix. He was named the Region 3 Prix St. Georges Champion and Intermediare 1 Freestyle Champion. He started off his Grand Prix career by winning his first and second show and he was second in his third Grand Prix. Gaucho III had to be retired from competition when in 2000 he slipped during a vet check and sustained a sever injury. In 2007 he was presented at the first PRE tribunal and became a "qualified Stallion" at age 17. He was the first PRE stallion to rank in the USEF Leading Dressage Sires Standings, ranking 7th out of 1079 in 2009. Her Paternal Grandsire, Panadero VIII, was the sire of Olympic silver medalist Invasor II & Gaucho III, Olympic Training Team. Panadero VIII was bred by Muira, renown for their splendid sherry, athletic horses and fighting bulls. Panadero is the sire of both Olympic Silver Medal winner Invasor II and Gaucho III, internationally recognized member of the Spanish Olympic Training Team with Juan Matute prior to being imported into the USA in 1998. He is maternal grandsire to Mesonera XX the dam of our Cortesana. Her maternal Grandsire, Guarapo was a Champion of Champions. Guarapo has the classic conformation of a Spanish stallion with a gorgeous, refined profile that is hard to find. He has dressage type movement with 3 well-balanced, cadenced gaits that is a joy to ride. Guarapo has a quiet, noble temperament that makes him a true Spanish gentleman. Guarapo was named the Champion of Champions Stallion at Fiesta Florida and he has done well in IALHA classes. His offspring represent him well in the show ring taking championships in Open and Amateur IALHA classes and scoring high in the discipline of Dressage. Her maternal great grandsire, Genil, was bred by the famous stud farm of Miguel Angel Cardenas, top winning breeder of Spain. Truly a who's who of excellent breeding on this colt/filly! Should be beautiful like his 2022 Palomino full sibling and will make a huge improvement to any breeding program!
