Pony Present Life Style:
When I walk the fence line weekly; the Shetland ponies follow me. I raise Shetland ponies to pass onto someone’s little one that is in need of that Horse loving experience in their life story, so to speak.... (read more)

Later in the day if the Shetland ponies see me; they do not come to see me. If I whistle for them; then they come running to me each time – if they can hear the whistle. Although the Shetland ponies do not get a treat this time; although they hope for it, I just pet them and they are OK with that attention.
A Temperament status of “1”. Yes you need to plan to spend time with the Shetland pony and talk to him/her. Keep the status of “1” going.
There are always “horse’ instincts” you have to remember the Shetland pony carries with him/her; like a pecking order and so on. If you do not know about “horse’ instincts” you will need to learn those; like the horse’s ear – what it means when they move in a certain direction as that is a horse’ body language response, in my opinion.
Transportation:
Please search internet "cheap horse transportation" Or “shipping horse in usa” to get the best deal on transportation.
Example: When a lady bought a Shetland Pony from me to be a buddy to her horse and for Grand Kids to love on, in Florida, she posted the trip and waited for a multi-horse hauler to be able to pick up Shetland Pony on his route across the USA; before finalizing the purchase of the Shetland Pony. I do not know what she had to Pay; but I am guessing since the Shetland Pony was the last pickup in the long horse hauling trailer, she was billed a smaller charge than having a single-horse hauler do the hauling.
Allow extra time to receive your Shetland pony:
24 Acres of hay and grazing land - not too many Shetland ponies.
