Wallace Hill Stable

Wallace Hill Stable is an 11 stall, co-op barn in Townsend, MA, offering all-day-every-day turnout on 21+ acres of grass divided into 9 paddocks. Our adult only boarders work together to provide the best possible care for the horses, and strive to maintain the kind of co-operative, happy, and relaxed atmosphere that nurtures both humans and equines. All riding disciplines are welcome.

Wallace Hill Stable has many amenities, including: a 100' x 200' groomed and lighted outdoor ring, 250 acres of trails on conservation land which abuts the property, hot and cold running water in the barn (year round), water spigots at every turnout, heated tack room with a full size refrigerator and a half bath, overflow tack storage area, and a bedding storage area.... (read more) The barn is also equipped with an alarm system and a generator that insures power is available year-round.

Board includes use of the facility, a matted stall (10' x 10' on average with excellent head clearance) and an allocation of six flakes of high-quality, first cut hay (we have it tested) per day per horse. Our hay is purchased twice a year, from the same vendor, to insure consistency. Boarders provide their own grain and bedding. Participation in a rotation of barn chores (turn out, stall cleaning, turn in, etc.) is required. Depending on how many boarders we have, the time obligation averages out to a commitment of three to five work days per month.
