Clint and Mandy
"God has given each of you a gift from His great variety of gifts. Use them well to serve one another." 1 Peter 4:10
The Waymaker Ranch was created when God brought two people together to fulfill His purpose for their lives as individuals and as partners. Tom Krause once said "Your purpose in life is to use your gifts and talents to help other people. Your journey in life teaches you how to do that.... (read more) "
Clint and Mandy have each spent their lives doing just that; both have owned and worked ranches. Both have served as fire fighters. And both proclaim Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. None of that happened over night-here is a glimpse into each of their stories. As you spend time at the ranch with these two, you will hear tales of love, laughter, tragedy, and victories. They hope that you will become part of their life journey through The Waymaker Ranch and it's entities.
About Clint:
Clint was raised on a working cattle ranch in Boerne, TX where he loved to hunt, care for cattle, horses, hay and all the things that go with keeping up a ranch. Clint has always had a heart for serving people and spent over 20 years as a fire fighter and Deputy Sheriff all while helping people with their ranches, and working his own. He has a special gift for walking onto a piece of property or farm or ranch and seeing it's full potential, regardless of what obstacles may be in front of him. Clint loves helping people bring their ranch and farm dreams to reality including, but not limited to-getting the fields into highest production yields, fixing issues that are costing rather than profiting, help in purchasing the correct animals for your farm, planning and building ways to make life easier or more manageable. Mandy says Clint is the cavalry sent by God when he shows up.
About Mandy:
Mandy's passion for all animals started at a young age. They seem to be attracted to her. As a child she helped stray cats, baby deer, and even a great horned owl that all ended up in her care on their farm in Glen Rose, TX. When Mandy was 15, she sold her 4-H goat and bought her first horse. The filly was 2 years old and wild. This little mare would set Mandy on a path to figuring out horses and learning how to help them get along with people, and help people to get along with their horse. Her first mentor taught her how to be a cowboy where she stepped on colts being ponied and when it stopped bucking they would ride for hours checking cattle, coming back at the end of the day with a broke horse. After high school she moved to Estes Park, Colorado where she learned what it meant to be a horseman. She spent the next five summers learning how to listen to horses and trained her first mustang under the guidance of Mark Rashid. Mandy spent decades taking every opportunity to learn to build her horsemanship skills. She learned her niche is in helping people and horses with their issues, starting colts for western disciplines and race horses, and she has a special talent for gentling and training wild mustangs. Mandy focuses on the foundation and relationship with each horse, seeing them as individuals, and bringing out their best talents. With her unique abilities, horses trained by Mandy are highly desirable and sought after by people from all over the country.
Together:
Clint and Mandy have over 75 years experience in this industry. They continue to research and learn and grow in all they do. When they met, they learned that they were both in a place in their life waiting for God to send them a partner, a suitable helper, to maximize the gifts, the experiences and lessons from God to ultimately fulfill their purpose in helping other people. They give all credit and glory to God through Jesus Christ, the one true Way Maker.
