Ben Cunningham specialises in colt starting, continued training and problem solving. Ben works with horses and riders in all disciplines to build a solid foundation. His goal is to develop horses that are safe, accurate and enjoyable.

In the event a client's horse is a poor fit for the task, Ben is willing to help find one that is more suited to their needs. No two horses are the same and Ben understands in order to fit them you must meet each one where they are at.... (read more)

When he is not ridding outside horses, Ben uses his time to continue his education by ridding with his mentors such as Buck Brannaman and Bill Barnes.

Services Offered

Training: Ben starts colts for all disciplines, refreshes or helps sort out issues with older horses and puts a finish on ranch horses.

Ben evaluates horses when they arrive for training. He will visit with the client about what kind of job and the direction they wish to take their horse in. Ben keeps the client's goal in mind as he works with their horse. However he doesn't compromise or skip over anything in an effort to speed up the process. He has learned over the years spent working at this that you can't cheat the process. Like the Navy Seal saying "slow is smooth, and smooth is fast", it's true every time.
