J.A.G. Arabian Sport Horses is a private farm, owned by James and Kathy Gilker, on 41+ acres of rolling hills in Milton, Georgia. We specialize in Arabian and Half-Arabian sport horses for pleasure, show, and trail riding. The horses are trained and shown in a variety of disciplines, including dressage, hunters, combined training, western pleasure, trail, english sidesaddle, and western sidesaddle. JAG Arabians is home to local, regional, and national Arabian and Half Arabian winners, including National Champion & Top Ten Winner JAG Cafe Au Lait+/ (sadly deceased); two time National Champion & multiple Top Ten winner JAG Kalico Kid+// (in Western Sidesaddle and Dressage); 2014 USEF Pony Finals 19th Place Green Medium Pony out of 70 and 2017 Arabian Horse Association Open Competition Award recipient JAG Royal Knight; two time National Champion & Top Ten winner Conkar+/; multiple National Top Ten winner CBS Good to Go+; National Top Ten winner JAG Lady Pegasus+/; Regional Champion CA Destiny Gro+; and Regional Reserve Champion JAG Khalahari. We are also home to two upcoming young stars.
Kathy has continued to train and show J.A.G. horses in dressage, hunters, and combined training in open and breed shows along with enjoying trail rides, cross country schooling and hunter paces with her Arabians and Half-Arabians, with the help of her twin daughters, Megan Thomas and Jessica Gilker Ho, and support of her husband. Megan and Jessica are both Arabian Horse Association Rider of Excellence Champions. They are both currently working towards their United States Dressage Federation Bronze Medals. Megan is also rated a 1* rider via www.centerlinescores.com.Kathy, Jessica and Megan are members of the the Arabian Sport Horse Alliance, Inc., Arabian Horse Association (AHA), the United States Equestrian, the United States Dressage Federation, the Georgia Arabian Horse Association, and the Georgia Hunter Jumper Association.All in all, the Gilkers enjoy representing the breed in competition and introducing newcomers to the Arabian horse!
