Services Offered

Training: Ground Work: The beginning steps for training your horse!

• Halter Training
We all have to start somewhere! We take horses with little to no human interaction and teach them to move alongside you on the ground. Basic ground skills include: catching the horse in the pasture, tieing / ground tieing, and having an understanding of direction: both forward and backward. By the end of this training, your horse will be relaxed and able to be worked with.

• Lunging
In this training, your horse will learn: rhythm, relaxation, balance, suppleness, straightness, and will work up to a collected frame. Beginner riders can take lessons and will be attached to the lunge line to teach balance, coordination and can begin the application of aids before riding free.

• Training to Stand for a Farrier
Your horse will learn to balance while maintaining relaxation. Because of our experience, we use the proper training simulation of a farrier.

• Trailer Loading
Loading and unloading of your horse on a trailer is a vital skill for your equine friend to have. Safety for you and your horse are the key goal with this type of training. Whether your horse is new to this or re-learning to enter and stand in a trailer, by the end of this training, your horse will be relaxed and ready to relocate.

?Riding and Training

• Started Under Saddle (green and young horses) - Any Discipline
Green and young horses will be started under saddle. First they will learn what weight is and be introduced to the beginnings of seat, leg, and rein aids while maintaining relaxation. By the end of this training, you and your horse will be able to: walk, trot, canter, halt, back-up, trail ride, and ride alone or with other equine friends in an arena.

• Continued training (rusty horses)
This service is for horses that have been on break from riding, or if you just want to advance the skills of your horse. Training can go into any direction you want.

• Show Ready Horses -- Finished Horses
Souva Performance Horses will finish horses in all disciplines: Reining, Cow horse -- Cuttin, Ranch Style, Pleasure Horse, Jumping, and up to 1st level Dressage. Showing possibilities with horse and rider include: NRHA, APHA, AQHA, ARHA, NCRHA, etc. also to USDEF shows schooling up to 1st level dressage. Rider Clinics will be available to continued education for horses and riders in the local area.

Sales and Services -- Consultation

We offer our experience in the sales market to consult with your purchase. Have us join you to look at and evaluate your next potential horse. We can also research and ride / evaluate potential horses to make sure the rider and horse are a perfect fit! Matching personality and experience between the horse and rider are vital. Your relationship with your horse is most important to us!
