Services Offered

Training
Employing the elements of the Dressage training scale, horses are started slowly and carefully in the training program. Our barn houses up to 10 horses, your horse receives daily care, handling and all training directly from Owner/Trainer Amy Gardner Anderson. This approach allows Amy to completely manage your horse's well being and to quickly establish a connection with your horse.
Taking a careful, methodical approach to training allows the horse to build confidence and fully understand what is expected of them. How long does it take? It depends on the horse's mind and how well they accept new things. It depends on the owner's goals and how they would like their horse to perform. How physically fit the horse is and if there are any difficult behavior challenges that need to be addressed.
For these reasons, a 2 month Full Board commitment is required for Temporary Training board. Long term training board options can be discussed and packages can be adjusted to suit your horse. Owners are encouraged to observe and participate in the process as much as possible.
Evaluation of each horse who comes for training begins on the ground to evaluate their natural movement. Through ground driving or long lining I can help your horse develop the strength and suppleness to excel at any type of riding. This type of ground work is fun and easy to learn. Evaluate your horse's movement, work them correctly without the interference of a rider. Under saddle I can assess your horse's strengths and weaknesses, giving you input for an individual schooling plan that will make your rides more productive and fun.
