North American Boulonnais

I followed the Boulonnais breed by what little was out there for 25 years. I finally recieved a contact person in April 2015 at which time i flew to France to meet the breeders. I purchased Ben Hur De Bernavile, an approved for breeding stallion. We will have 5 purbred fillies and mares to start an American breeding operation. This is a very old and storied history. At the hieght if populaity they numbered 600,000 of them. The 2 WW's hit the Boulonnais especially hard.... (read more) These horses have hoovered around 750 to 1100 horses. With the advent of farm equipment led the breed to be of use as a meat horse.

My hope, prayers, and time we can bring this wonderfully bred horse back to life so to speak.
