WANAJA FARM is located along a beautiful scenic route in Oldham County, Kentucky in the heart of historic countryside. We are a state-of-the-art boarding and training facility, primarily for the discipline of dressage, but welcome other disciplines, as well. We offer riding lessons at all levels and for all ages.

WANAJA FARM has two new barns, and good fencing. The training barn has 17 matted 12'x12' stalls, a heated/air conditioned viewing room with microwave, refrigerator and freezer, a laundry room, wash rack with hot and cold water, feed room, two tack rooms, and a heated bathroom/changing room.

Training
Tori is a USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold medalist with both international and national competition success. In addition, she has earned the Silver Freestyle Bar. Tori discovered the world of dressage through Arabian horses. At ten years-old, she won the ten-and-under Arabian Regional Championship. She became an astute student of classical dressage and began showing a variety of breeds in USDF recognized shows. At fifteen, she won the prestigious Ky. Dressage Association’s President’s Cup against junior/young riders, adult amateurs, and professionals. That same year her Oldenburg mare, Ribana H, won the MidSouth Eventing and Dressage Association Mare of the Year award through their successful partnership together.

After graduating from high school, Tori aspired to compete at the Arabian Youth Nationals in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She found a seventeen year-old Saddle Seat Arabian to lease, and in just four months, completely retrained him to dressage. At the National Championships, they took fifth place at First Level, out of over thirty competitors . Soon after, Tori joined the ranks of KYB Dressage in Chicago, Illinois as a working student. Afterwards, she returned to Kentucky.

Tori is a USDF Dressage Seat Medal Finalist. She has won Silver Stirrup and All Breed Championships with multiple horses, and USDF Regional Championships from Training to Prix St. George levels. In addition, she has won numerous KDA and MSEDA year-end and achievement awards, including many times Junior Young Rider High Point Awards. She was a member of the Region 2 Young Rider Dressage team for two years. In her second year, she was the highest scoring member on her team, as well as the highest scoring competitor on all teams in the central and eastern United States. She finished tenth overall out of approximately fifty riders. Tori was invited to compete at the prestigious Young Rider National Championships in Gladstone, N.J. where she finished seventh on the Individual Young Rider Test. She rode in the 2012 Young Rider Clinic at Tempel Farm in Illinois, and participated in the 2012 USEF Elite Dressage Clinic in Alpharetta, Georgia, by way of invitation.

From 2010 to 2013,Tori was a public author for Barnby Notes, an online rider reflection journal website. In 2011 she won the USDF writing contest for her article, “The Power of a Smile.” She was honored by USDF with the Shining Star award for sportsmanship. In 2010 she was elected the first-ever Ky. Dressage Association’s Young Rider Chairman, a position she held for two years, until she aged out. In 2012, Tori was awarded the Willy Arts Grant by the KWPN-NA.

Tori understands the importance of staying current and furthering one’s dressage education. For this reason, she attended the 2015 Young Horse National Championships, Brentina Cup, NAJYRC , and Dressage at Devon as a spectator. She will be participating in the Young Rider Graduate Program at Wellington, Florida in January 2016. She has had the pleasure to ride and audit with top clinicians, including Colleen Kelly, Michael Poulin, Alex Gerding, Angela Hecker-Jackson, Albrecht Heidemann, Bo Jenna, Kim Schisler Sosebee, Nancy Baker, Chrissa Hoffmann, and Jeremy Steinberg. Tori currently trains with Jessica Jo Tate.

Last year, Tori was headed toward the 2015 Brentina Cup with one of the top qualifying scores. Unfortunately, due to her horse’s illness, she had to pull out. She is hoping to qualify in 2016. In addition, she is hoping to compete at the 2016 Dressage at Devon.

Tori trains a variety of horse breeds, including Arabian, Half-Arabian, Dutch Warmblood, Irish Sport Horse, and OTTB Thoroughbred. She coaches riders of all ages and levels. Tori is working on her her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing at Spalding University.
