With over 40 years of experience, we offer quality full care boarding, specializing in retirement care, and miniature horse training, in a horse safe, family environment.
BOARDING INCLUDES:
• Daily cleaning
• Excellent quality coastal hay twice a day
• Grain twice a day
• Automatic waterers that are cleaned daily
• Quarterly worming.
• Each horse has a 20’ X 115’ run with a 10’ X 12’ or 10’ X 16’ stable so they can have plenty of room to exercise.... (read more) (We use no climb horse fencing)
• A 225’ X 120’ exercise area for turnout, riding, or just hanging out with your horse.
• We blanket and fly mask when needed. (As long as the horse is safe to blanket)
**Owner provides blanket and fly mask.
• We have an excellent farrier that comes to our property. Owner is responsible for farrier expense
• We have an excellent equine vet that takes care of all of our horses. Owner is responsible for vet expense. Transportation to the vet is provided for an additional charge to cover fuel and time.

2 - 10’ X 16’ Stables with 21 X 115’ run
MINIATURE HORSE TRAINING
We offer mini horse training at 4 levels.
• Basic Training: halter, lead, lunge, desensitizing, farrier, grooming, and trailer loading
• Intermediate Training: includes basic training plus training for obstacles and jumping
• Re-Train: Fixing problems such as nervousness, pulling, & anxiety. Training the horse to be soft, polite, happy, and safe in all aspects. Jo takes the horse back to the beginning to find any holes in their training and work on problem areas.
• Advanced Training: includes basic & intermediate training, plus training to drive a cart
** We do not train mini’s (under 34”) to ride
We offer quality horse services in a horse safe, family environment. With over 40 years of experience and proven methods, we provide quality care and training. Jo volunteers her time as the primary trainer at Wings And Reins Equine Refuge as well as training for private owners.
Jo specializes in re-training miniature horses that have been mishandled, mistreated and/or abused. Focusing on the mental and physical well-being of the horse and then re-training to be safe, polite, happy, and soft so that they can lead a productive life. Jo recently re-trained a miniature mare. In only 6 shows, Jo took the mare to the 2021 AMHR Nationals where they won 2 National Grand Champions, 1 National Reserve Champion, 4th, and 7th.
